On Oct. 10, MISTR launched National PrEP Day, a bold campaign to enroll 10,000 new people on PrEP in just 10 days. MISTR hosted National PrEP Day events featuring celebrities and influencers in 15 cities across the U.S., celebrating PrEP access, sexual health equity, and community. Several cities also issued official proclamations recognizing National PrEP Day, while a bipartisan group of leaders across the country released public statements of support.

In a new blog post, Mercer’s Tracy Watts highlighted how employers can take action to help end HIV through education, awareness, and supportive benefits. The firm offers four short video infographics to help organizations educate leaders, managers, and employees on HIV testing, prevention, and stigma reduction.
VersanteAI is joining forces with The Global Trans Equity Project in Atlanta to design stigma-free, equitable health solutions for veterans and marginalized communities. The collaboration represents a shared vision to build inclusive digital pathways for those who have served and those who continue to face barriers to access.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, ViiV Healthcare's employee resource groups hosted a virtual panel discussion, “The Power of Allyship and Intersectionality in HIV Awareness.” This conversation served as a platform to educate, empower, and inspire actionable solutions for improving HIV outcomes in communities of color and other at-risk groups.

Through hands-on workshops at our Atlanta Chapter Meeting on Sept. 25, participants tackled local advocacy, workplace education and inclusion, public-private partnerships, and how to expand prevention and testing access.

Houston’s latest Chapter Meeting on Sept. 30 sparked new partnerships and fresh approaches to advancing the city’s HIV response.
We are grateful to our hosts at the Hilton Garden Inn / Home2Suites and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce for their support, and our Houston chapter members and allies for continuing to lead with innovation and community spirit.
We are thrilled to announce that the Coalition and the Houston chapter will receive the Shelby Hodge Vision Award at the Hope for Houston Ball on Nov. 14, hosted by community partner Allies in Hope.

At The Abbey in West Hollywood, our Los Angeles Chapter identified new opportunities to expand testing, prevention, advocacy, and partnerships — and rallied momentum ahead of AIDS Walk LA.
A warm thank you to our host, The Abbey and MISTR, and to all who joined us in building a stronger, more connected movement to end HIV across Los Angeles.
On Oct. 8, Paramount Pictures and U.S. Business Action to End HIV brought together a powerful group of storytellers, creatives, and industry leaders for a conversation about the role media and entertainment can play in ending HIV in America.
Together, we explored how shifting narratives, reducing stigma, and increasing visibility and representation can drive real change. During the event, we previewed two new resources developed in partnership with GLAAD, “Tips for Authentic, Impactful HIV Storytelling and Tips for Media & Entertainment Employers.”

Coalition Director Mario Harper led a panel discussion, “From Boardrooms to Break Rooms: The Role of Business in Ending HIV,” at the 2025 Out & Equal Workplace Summit in Seattle. Speakers included Will Cunningham (Match Group), Lorean Serko (Mercer), and Armando Macias (MISTR). The conversation highlighted both professional and personal insights on why this work matters and strategies to drive meaningful workplace transformation.

On Oct. 22, the Coalition hosted our annual World AIDS Day Briefing for Employers, bringing together workplace leaders to prepare for World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. Featured speakers included John Cunningham (National AIDS Memorial), Joel Helle (CVS Health), and Jason Panda (B Brand).
Attendees walked away with six actionable strategies to help their companies recognize Dec. 1 with purpose and impact — plus early access to the 2025 World AIDS Day Toolkit for Employers.

This year’s event will spotlight this pivotal moment in our nation’s fight to end HIV and convene leaders from business, policy, and public health to help inform the strategies that will guide the movement’s next chapter.

An immersive theater experience in Culver City, CA, titled “Still Here,” centers on the stories of Black women living with HIV. Set in a Black hair salon, the play highlights how Black women account for roughly 50% of new HIV diagnoses among women in the U.S. yet remain largely excluded from public-health narratives.
