One in five people living with HIV are women. Yet, they remain one of the most overlooked and underserved populations when it comes to prevention and care.
Because HIV is widely misunderstood as a condition affecting only gay men, most women don’t see themselves as vulnerable to HIV. As a result, they aren't getting tested, accessing prevention, or seeking treatment.
Fortunately, employers can help change this through benefits design, internal communications, and a workplace culture that reduces stigma and empowers women to get the care they need.
