Our Annual Coalition Convening

We were so pleased to host our 3rd Annual Coalition Convening last week in Washington, D.C., bringing together corporate members, policymakers, HIV experts, and community leaders to celebrate this year's progress and spotlight the growing leadership of the business community in ending the HIV epidemic.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Coalition members from Alchemy, B Brand, Gilead Sciences, KNU Health, Match Group, Mercer, MISTR, and ViiV Healthcare met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to emphasize the importance of sustained federal funding for HIV initiatives. Businesses have a powerful voice in protecting progress, and it was exciting to see that leadership in action.

Coalition members on Capitol Hill

That evening, we hosted our third annual World AIDS Day Reception, celebrating cross-sector leadership in the fight to end HIV.

We recognized 15 companies that completed all six membership actions this year with the 2025 Action Award, including: Alchemy, Avita Care Solutions, Chevron, Curant Health, CVS Health, Gilead Sciences, Healthvana, IHDLab, Match Group, Mercer, MISTR, RADcube, Theratechnologies, ViiV Healthcare, and Walgreens. Learn more about their impact here.

2025 Action Award Recipients

We also honored three outstanding partners whose leadership is accelerating progress across the HIV response:

  • Vanguard Award: William Cunningham, Match Group for exceptional leadership of the Coalition's Government Relations and Public Affairs Cohort and being a visible, trusted champion for this work.
  • Trailblazer Award: Tristan Schukraft and the MISTR team for bold industry innovation, setting a standard for what private-sector leadership can achieve.
  • Beacon Award: Paramount Pictures for mobilizing the entertainment industry to reshape HIV narratives, reduce stigma, and elevate HIV visibility.

Thursday, Nov. 20, featured our Annual Coalition Meeting, the release of our 2025 Impact Report, and forward-looking discussions with the National Institutes of Health and Coalition members on big ideas that can shape how we can end the epidemic — from expanded PrEP and treatment options to AI innovation, pharmacy-based care, and powerful storytelling. In issue-specific breakout sessions, members helped chart our shared roadmap for 2026.

Annual meeting

The energy, innovation, and collaboration this week were extraordinary! Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed time, ideas, and leadership. And congratulations again to all of the award recipients! The private sector's role in ending the HIV epidemic has never been more critical, or more inspiring.

Curant Health

What is one innovation Curant Health is most proud of so far regarding your work to address HIV?

One of Curant Health's most meaningful innovations is our patient-centered Medication Care Management™ model, which leverages personalized care plans, proactive adherence monitoring, and strong provider collaboration to support people living with HIV. Our approach integrates real-time clinical insights with high-touch support from dedicated care teams, allowing us to intervene early, resolve barriers before they escalate, and help patients achieve and sustain viral suppression. This model transforms pharmacy care from simply dispensing medication to actively improving health outcomes.

What insights have you gained about bridging gaps in access and equity in HIV care, particularly for underserved populations?

We've learned that trust, consistency, and culturally sensitive support are foundational to equitable care. Many underserved patients experience fragmented systems, stigma, or limited access to reliable healthcare. By meeting patients where they are, we have helped close critical gaps. Equity requires designing care that adapts to patients' needs, not expecting patients to adapt to the system. By working closely with community partners and providers, we have created practical, patient-centered solutions that improve continuity of care and support long-term adherence.

What are the biggest barriers you face in scaling HIV services, and what are some ways to overcome them?

The most common barrier we see and hear from our partners includes inconsistent funding, varying payer requirements, and geographic disparities in access to specialized care. Scalable solutions require expanding partnerships with community providers, leveraging digital tools to connect with patients in remote or underserved regions, and streamlining administrative processes so the focus is on patients and their care.
