The Ad Council is where creativity and causes converge. The non-profit organization brings together the most creative minds in advertising, media, technology and marketing to address many of the nation's most important causes. The Ad Council has created many of the most iconic campaigns in advertising history, including Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk, Smokey Bear, and Love Has No Labels. The Ad Council is leading the COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative, a massive communications effort to educate the American public and build confidence around the COVID-19 vaccines. Learn more.

The CDC Foundation is an independent nonprofit and the sole entity created by Congress to mobilize philanthropic and private-sector resources to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s critical health protection work. The de Beaumont Foundation advances policy, builds partnerships, and strengthens public health to create communities where people can achieve their best possible health. Our Team

Stephen Massey is a social entrepreneur and communications expert who builds unlikely partnerships for social good — across geographies, industries and sectors. Over the past 15 years, he has led integrated cause-marketing campaigns in the U.S. and abroad, and has cultivated initiatives with major foundations, media organizations, international institutions and Fortune 500 companies.
Stephen is the co-founder of Meteorite, the social impact firm that powers the Health Action Alliance. Prior to launching Meteorite, Stephen co-founded a non-profit health policy organization in Russia, helped mobilize more than 300 of the world’s leading media companies in response to AIDS, and managed a multi-million dollar investment portfolio on behalf of a major operating foundation and the United Nations. He’s built Emmy and Peabody Award-winning campaigns on a wide range of social issues, including public health, civic engagement, climate change and early literacy. A first-generation Cuban-American, Stephen served as a White House National Security Fellow in the Clinton Administration and studied international development and economics at Georgetown, Columbia and Oxford Universities.

Sarah Rauzin is a public health strategist and cross-sector collaborator advancing workplace-driven solutions to today’s most urgent health challenges. As Director and Lead of Research and Advisory at Meteorite, the organization behind the Health Action Alliance, she helps employers translate complex public health issues into clear, actionable strategies that support employee well-being and strengthen business resilience.
Her work spans a wide range of issues, including mental health, women's health, chronic conditions, respiratory health, and MSD prevention. With a background in prevention science and crisis response, Sarah has authored and co-authored programs that bring public health theory into practical application in college, military, and workplace settings, including SHIELD — an award-winning leadership and sexual assault prevention program with Jacksonville Naval Air Station.
Through every initiative, Sarah leads with deep listening, drawing on diverse perspectives and data-driven insights to align shared values into win-win strategies that drive real-world impact.

Rachel Reyes is a seasoned political and community organizer. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Rachel is a sixth generation Angeleno and proud Dodgers fan. In 2022, Rachel joined Meteorite, bringing her experience in labor and worker advocacy to the company’s health teams. Rachel has a background in the nonprofit sector, most recently working during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with grocery and retail workers. Her work during this time ensured that essential workers were guaranteed higher pay, direct access to protections, and stronger contracts overall.
Rachel’s passion for labor comes in part from her longtime retail work, managing businesses in both England and the US, from small boutiques to multimillion dollar flagship stores. Rachel began her career in museum education, working for the Natural History Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the National Gallery in London. When she’s not working, you can find Rachel in the field for local electoral campaigns. Her dedication to local politics has improved the lives of working people across Los Angeles, from passing policies like Fair Workweek to electing City Councilmember Nithya Raman. She is also a freelance writer and podcaster. Rachel is a two-time Getty Scholar and holds a B.A. in Art History and Ethnic Studies from Mills College.

Caroline is passionate about leveraging media and communications for social good through strategic communications, partnerships, and integrated campaign development.
Caroline spent 15 years at KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation) on the Social Impact Media team where she led the creative development and production of the foundation’s Greater Than AIDS initiative - a public information response to the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic. She also managed ongoing partnerships with national media companies and corporations, including the Greater Than AIDS/Walgreens National HIV Community Partnership - an initiative working with local health departments and community organizations to expand free HIV testing and information in non-traditional settings.
Caroline holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from American University and has served in past communications and marketing roles at National Public Radio, American University, and the Media Education Foundation.

Steven Levine is an expert in social impact and corporate communications, having held prominent positions at the White House and in the executive offices of major U.S. media companies.
Before co-founding Meteorite, the social impact firm that powers the Health Action Alliance, Steven launched Univision’s social impact brand and worked to transform the traditional media company into the defining entertainment, news and political advocacy brand of the U.S. Hispanic community. Previously, Steven served as the White House Associate Director of Communications under President George W. Bush, where he was responsible for executing every single presidential media event held on White House grounds.Steven earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Noelene Clark is an editorial director who helps organizations tell meaningful stories for a wide variety of audiences.
Over the last 15 years, Noelene has led content teams at TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly and The Messenger. She’s also written and edited for news organizations across the country, including Los Angeles Times, Austin American-Statesman, Newsweek, The Seattle Times and more.

Makaila Heifner is a dynamic communications professional dedicated to advancing initiatives in health. With over 5 years of experience spanning various sectors, Makaila brings a diverse skill set and a wealth of versatile knowledge to the Health Action Alliance.
In her previous roles, Makaila collaborated with a range of nonprofits, addressing topics from grief and mental health to diabetes awareness. Specializing in communications and marketing, she excels in simplifying complex issues and developing educational campaigns to engage and inform audiences. Her creative and strategic approach enables her to tackle challenges effectively and produce impactful work. She is excited to continue to drive meaningful initiatives forward with the Meteorite team.
Makaila holds a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies in the Americas, along with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Beyond her professional pursuits, Makaila is deeply committed to social causes, volunteering with organizations focused on criminal justice reform. Currently, she is actively involved with Inside Books Project in Austin, TX, facilitating the distribution of free literature to incarcerated individuals in Texas while advocating for public awareness of incarceration-related issues. Additionally, Makaila channels her creativity as a freelance writer, artist, and photographer, with expertise in music and live events.

Lori Hoffman is Vice President of Product & Content Strategy at Meteorite. A media industry veteran, Lori spent over 20 years at a wide spectrum of publications, including Modern Bride, Wine Spectator, Jane, Popular Mechanics, Latina and Vibe. Throughout her career she has held nearly every editorial position possible — from reporter to copy editor, managing editor to executive editor, giving her an expansive lens into the creativity and operational needs of leading creative teams.
She spent six years at Fast Company, as the director of editorial strategy, where, in addition to managing the staff and the print magazine, she worked alongside legendary editor-in-chief Bob Safian to bring live events, awards programs, and other non-traditional content formats to life.
In 2017, Lori transitioned to a leadership role at communications and storytelling agency LaunchSquad/Original9 Media, where she was an SVP of content and editorial strategy, growing a team of content editors and strategists, and building owned content programs for brands in a variety of industries.
Returning to media in 2021, Lori stepped into the Chief Content Officer, and later, interim-President role at WaitWhat, an inventive digital media company responsible for groundbreaking podcasts like Masters of Scale with Reid Hoffman and Meditative Story. She co-executive produced the inaugural Masters of Scale Summit and shepherded innovative products like the Masters of Scale Courses.

David Leathers is a sustainability and impact leader focused on accelerating solutions through business action. He brings deep experience in program management, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement to his work at Meteorite, where he focuses on climate and workforce health. Most recently at B Lab, the organization behind the B Corp movement, David led strategic initiatives to strengthen sustainability standards and impact measurement for almost 10,000 Certified B Corporations worldwide. Prior to B Lab, as part of the Global Purpose team at Deloitte, David helped lead engagement and measurement for World Impact—Deloitte's portfolio of climate and social impact initiatives. As a consultant at Deloitte, he supported organizations in the technology, government, and nonprofit sectors. David has also lived and worked abroad in Jordan and Egypt, and is a Climate base Fellow and New Leaders Council Fellow. He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College. He is originally from Seattle and is now based in New York City.

Shreya Agrawal is a climate and sustainability professional with experience spanning ESG consulting, public policy, and research. At Meteorite, she supports the National Commission on Climate and Workforce Health, bringing an interdisciplinary approach to advancing business engagement on climate-related health risks.
Prior to joining Meteorite, Shreya interned at Dell Technologies, where she worked on ESG initiatives across circular economy, climate, human rights, AI, and sustainability reporting. She designed new program concepts, informed strategy through research-driven recommendations, and supported large-scale ESG disclosures. At the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, she authored articles and fact sheets on energy policy and electrification initiatives, while also synthesizing congressional briefings on climate risk, local climate action, and COP negotiations. She additionally served as a sustainability consultant with Goodwill Central Texas, developing data-driven recommendations to reduce textile waste and improve operational efficiency.
Shreya is passionate about creating sustainable systems that center equity, resilience, and well-being. She holds a BS in environmental science and a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Jirair Ratevosian is a Hock Fellow at the Duke Global Health Institute and a Non-Resident Global Health Policy Expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He works at the intersection of public health policy, innovation, and equity, advocating for sustainable solutions to ensure breakthroughs reach communities often left behind. With a career spanning government, philanthropy, and research, Dr. Ratevosian leads efforts to build coalitions, mobilize public-private partnerships, unlock philanthropic capital, and promote the ethical use of artificial intelligence to address global health inequities. Dr. Ratevosian holds a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is fluent in Armenian. He has served on the boards of the Global Fund to Fight HIV, TB, and Malaria and currently serves on the boards of Victory Campaign, AIDS United, PrEP for All, and Equality California. In 2023, he launched a historic congressional campaign, underscoring his commitment to building a more equitable and inclusive society.

Abigail George is a passionate advocate for social justice and impact. She finds joy, inspiration, and motivation through creating meaningful connections and partnerships. In 2021, Abigail joined Meteorite, entering the civics world by supporting the Civic Alliance.With a background in the nonprofit sector, Abigail previously managed the grantmaking operations at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, cultivating and facilitating philanthropic support of equitable, sustainable, and artistic programs. Prior to her foundation work, she served as the Development Manager of The Salvation Army’s Greater New York Division. There, she engaged in fundraising efforts with major gift donors, planned mission-driven donor events, and ran innovative social media campaigns.Abigail began her career as a social worker where she worked in the New York Public School system, counseling middle school aged individuals. She also spent time with the Fresh Air Fund, providing social services to youth from low income communities who were given the opportunity to have a summer camp experience. Abigail holds a B.A. in Social Work from Fordham University.
