Mario Harper is a purpose-driven, servant leader with over 10 years of experience in Business Development, Program Management, and Advocacy in medical devices, HIV care and diagnostics.

He most recently served as the Director of Enterprise Business Development Molecular Testing Labs, a pioneer in the space of PrEP/HIV testing. Prior to that, he served as a 340B Healthcare Senior Account Executive for Avita Pharmacy, where he worked with nearly 40 Ryan White and STI clinics providing consultative program support aimed at reducing gaps in access to healthcare, ending the AIDS epidemic, empowering sexual wellness & educating underserved populations who are most at risk for HIV and STI transmission.

A Certified Professional Coach, Mario attended The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and completed his undergraduate studies in Communications at LSU.

He is also a proud board member of the National Sales Network (NSN) and ACE TeleHelp Services.

Caroline is passionate about leveraging media and communications for social good through strategic communications, partnerships, and integrated campaign development.

Caroline spent 15 years at KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation) on the Social Impact Media team where she led the creative development and production of the foundation’s Greater Than AIDS initiative - a public information response to the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic. She also managed ongoing partnerships with national media companies and corporations, including the Greater Than AIDS/Walgreens National HIV Community Partnership - an initiative working with local health departments and community organizations to expand free HIV testing and information in non-traditional settings.

Caroline holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from American University and has served in past communications and marketing roles at National Public Radio, American University, and the Media Education Foundation.

Meghan Kamper loves engaging with people and communities, she excels at building strategic partnerships and relationships across different sectors.

With 6+ years of project management experience, she recently completed her master’s degree in Sustainable Leadership and worked with the State of New Mexico to develop their electric vehicle infrastructure for the State’s Department of Transportation and General Services Department. Her previous work focused on sustainable practices, addressing climate change, and working with public agencies to increase their sustainability efforts.

When Meghan is not trying to save the planet, you can find her working on her other passion: health and wellness. She is an advocate for healthy lifestyles and spends her time learning ways to incorporate sustainability into health and wellness within the built environment. Meghan is ecstatic to be working on Meteorite’s health campaigns.

Steven Levine is an expert in social impact and corporate communications, having held prominent positions at the White House and in the executive offices of major U.S. media companies.

Before co-founding Meteorite, the social impact firm that powers the Health Action Alliance, Steven launched Univision’s social impact brand and worked to transform the traditional media company into the defining entertainment, news and political advocacy brand of the U.S. Hispanic community. Previously, Steven served as the White House Associate Director of Communications under President George W. Bush, where he was responsible for executing every single presidential media event held on White House grounds.Steven earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Stephen Massey is a social entrepreneur and communications expert who builds unlikely partnerships for social good — across geographies, industries and sectors. Over the past 15 years, he has led integrated cause-marketing campaigns in the U.S. and abroad, and has cultivated initiatives with major foundations, media organizations, international institutions and Fortune 500 companies.

Stephen is the co-founder of Meteorite, the social impact firm that powers the Health Action Alliance. Prior to launching Meteorite, Stephen co-founded a non-profit health policy organization in Russia, helped mobilize more than 300 of the world’s leading media companies in response to AIDS, and managed a multi-million dollar investment portfolio on behalf of a major operating foundation and the United Nations. He’s built Emmy and Peabody Award-winning campaigns on a wide range of social issues, including public health, civic engagement, climate change and early literacy. A first-generation Cuban-American, Stephen served as a White House National Security Fellow in the Clinton Administration and studied international development and economics at Georgetown, Columbia and Oxford Universities.

As a Program Manager at Meteorite, the social impact firm that powers the Health Action Alliance, Sarah works with expert partners in infectious diseases, mental health and ergonomics to translate the latest science into best-in-class tools and resources to help employers take action on workplace health and safety. With over a decade of experience in public health, Sarah is passionate about applying data and behavior theory into practical solutions that improve health equity and well-being.

Sarah received her Masters of Public Health from the University of Florida, with a focus on social and behavioral science. Prior to joining Meteorite, Sarah spent 10 years designing and implementing evidence-based programs in the higher education sector, spanning from 1:1 interventions and engaging workshops to campus-wide campaigns. Sarah founded and led a number of inter-departmental coalitions to unite violence prevention initiatives across campuses and spearheaded university health assessments. Her previous areas of impact have included crisis intervention & suicide prevention, sexual assault prevention, alcohol harm reduction, and gender equity.

Rachel Reyes

Rachel Reyes is a seasoned political and community organizer. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Rachel is a sixth generation Angeleno and proud Dodgers fan. In 2022, Rachel joined Meteorite, bringing her experience in labor and worker advocacy to the company’s health teams. Rachel has a background in the nonprofit sector, most recently working during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with grocery and retail workers. Her work during this time ensured that essential workers were guaranteed higher pay, direct access to protections, and stronger contracts overall.

Rachel’s passion for labor comes in part from her longtime retail work, managing businesses in both England and the US, from small boutiques to multimillion dollar flagship stores. Rachel began her career in museum education, working for the Natural History Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the National Gallery in London. When she’s not working, you can find Rachel in the field for local electoral campaigns. Her dedication to local politics has improved the lives of working people across Los Angeles, from passing policies like Fair Workweek to electing City Councilmember Nithya Raman. She is also a freelance writer and podcaster. Rachel is a two-time Getty Scholar and holds a B.A. in Art History and Ethnic Studies from Mills College.

Adrian Sixtos is a designer specializing in building digital and print materials. Throughout his career, he has focused on creating materials and design systems with special attention to craft. A designer at his core, he obsesses over understanding each contemporary design tool and even adopts new and emerging ones.

Adrian enjoys the challenge of bringing creative solutions to any project. Having worked as a graphic designer for multiple clients over the last 5 years, Adrian has seen how good design can benefit any industry. Adrian is a listener, attentive to others and their perspectives on day-to-day problems, and driven to create solutions to those problems. During the day, you can find him working as a freelance graphic designer. Although his professional experience primarily lies in brand and print, he has stepped into other roles that include web design, motion graphics, and photo editing.

In his free time, Adrian enjoys traveling. On the weekends, you can usually find him relaxing at home or hiking the trails of Oregon with his wife, Evelin. His ultimate goal is to travel the world with his wife.

Jamie Vaughn (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mental health therapist who finds joy in empowering others to live their healthiest, happiest lives. With a passion for gender equity, Jamie led theory-based and evidence-informed programs and services for the Women & Gender Equity Resource Center at Florida Atlantic University. During her time in that role, she built coalitions to promote nondiscrimination and disseminate information campus-wide. To apply her master’s degree in women’s, gender and sexuality studies in real-world scenarios, she obtained her Masters in Social Work in 2020 from Barry University.

Since receiving her therapist license she has seen numerous clients of all ages, providing trauma-informed, empowerment-based, solution-focused care using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and narrative therapy to support their path to improved mental health and overall wellbeing. With her background in mental health, equity, and advocacy, Jamie joined Meteorite to support the Health Action Alliance team in our efforts to build stronger, healthier communities through the power of businesses.

Ariel has 15 years experience in empowering non-profit and mission-based organizations through impactful creative direction and design. Her professional strength lies in her ability to navigate both the analytical and the abstract, and distill them into tools for visual storytelling in order to translate complex problems — and their potential solutions — into engaging and accessible collateral.

Her ability to blend creativity with purpose has fostered successful partnerships with a diverse range of mission-based organizations, including those focused on prison reform, women's health, civic engagement, climate change, foster care reform, mental health advocacy, arts education, anti-racism education, anti-hate initiatives, and more.

Outside of work Ariel is passionate about being involved in her local community and takes on several pro-bono projects in Long Beach every year. Her latest pro-bono work includes creative collateral for education around local ecology and California Native green spaces, as well as a mural for a local coffee shop that provides trauma-informed job training for individuals experiencing housing insecurity.

Claire Whedbee is a versatile events marketer, producer, and strategist with a passion for creating memorable moments and building connection through live experiences. With over ten years of diverse professional and industry experience, she brings her background in design, food, technology, and media, as well as expertise in driving impact through events, to Meteorite.

Claire’s career has been largely focused on developing strong foundations for events strategy and execution for early-stage companies – setting up critical processes from scratch to allow for sustainable growth. Prior to Meteorite, Claire served as the Director of Events at Protocol, the tech media startup founded by news organization POLITICO, where she oversaw the company’s virtual and in-person events program spotlighting editorial talent and delivering high-value thought leadership to audiences and customers. Claire also previously held the position of head of consumer events at Impossible Foods, where she supported the company’s rapid growth from a niche sustainable foods startup to a globally-recognized brand, and as a member of the global events and experience team at design and innovation firm, IDEO.

Claire is based in San Francisco and holds a B.A. in Sociology from Occidental College.

Henry Zhu

Henry Zhu is a social impact mobilizer and strategist who has dedicated his early career to forging meaningful partnerships between champions of change in the nonprofit, public, and corporate sectors.

Previously, he has spearheaded dozens of strategic partnerships with foundations, corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and individuals on behalf of a leading national mental health and suicide prevention organization. In this role at The Jed Foundation, he was a senior strategic aide to several C-suite executives and represented the organization in a variety of formal functions. Over his time at The Jed Foundation, the organization experienced a drastic increase in long-term programmatic collaborations, in addition to corresponding revenue growth.

A passionate mental health advocate and researcher, Henry has also supported various research-practice partnerships focused on adolescent development and social connection in New York City public schools, in collaboration with New York University. His ongoing research focus is centered around masculinity and mental health, particularly in supporting adolescent boys in their transition to adulthood.

Henry was previously a NYC Community Fellow for the Institute of Nonprofit Practice, the youngest in his cohort. He is deeply committed to public service, having previously assumed various volunteer roles within New Jersey political offices. He is involved in the Harvard Alumni for Mental Health, and will soon take on a leadership role in Member Engagement. Henry holds a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard College and a M.A. in Human Development Research & Policy from New York University.
